Kids Club Hockey is a new program to get our kids more ice time!
Full gear is required for all kids and approved adults must wear minimum helmet and gloves.
We’ll use TeamSnap to organize who is coming. All sessions must be pre-paid to ensure we can cover costs.
Limited amount of Parent volunteers are allowed on the ice, with hockeytourney approval providing you have proof of a Criminal Record Check completed (bonus points if you’ve got any other certifications).
Parents can participate in preparing a lesson plan with a designated “head coach” each week, with the rest of us helping out. We need a little structure to keep things from getting chaotic, so parents will help execute the plan. Kids should be well prepared to listen and have some fun.
We’ll split the kids into age groups (younger ones under 9 on one side, older ones 9 and over on the other) or make sure everyone’s is similar skill level. Most of the kids will be Beginner level , so if your child has a wealth of experience this may not be the program for them.
Just a heads up—no lifting pucks, This is not a stick and puck for adults this is for the kids and we’re keeping it safe with no crazy plays that could hurt the kids!
We can change this depending on numbers but the idea is to have 1-2 sections of ice to make sure the newer players get some one on one time and the other get to run drills with other kids.
