Beginner Intermediate Holiday Classic – December 21 & 22
Participants
This Beginner-Intermediate Holiday Classic Tournament is open to players of all genders, emphasizing fair competition and friendly games. Jerseys will be provided to all participants.
Format
The tournament features three teams, each guaranteed to play three games. Every team will play one game against the others. The top two teams will compete in the final, while the third-place team will join other non-finalists for a mixer drop-in game with shuffled teams to ensure fairness.
Skill Levels Definition:
- Beginner: Less than three years of experience, learning basic skills, and limited organized hockey experience.
- Intermediate: Some house league experience, started hockey within the last 10 years, or over 60 years old.
Players above the posted skill level may have opportunities closer to the tournament date.
Goalies
Goalies must be evaluated to ensure balance between teams. Since this is a short tournament, we aim to keep goalies at a similar skill level to maintain fairness. If you’re interested in playing as a goalie, please fill out this form for consideration. The goalie fee is $40.
Honesty & Balance
Players must be honest about their skill level. Misrepresentation may lead to restrictions (e.g., no scoring allowed) or removal without refund. Organizers reserve the right to restructure dominant teams to maintain balance, even if it means forfeiting the final game.
Join us for a festive and friendly holiday tournament!
Schedule:
With one game on the first day and a clear schedule for the second, this format keeps commitments minimal and easy to plan around.
